Probably the best quote on essays ever...

"For in Calormen, story-telling (whether the stories are true or made up) is a thing you're taught, just as English boys and girls are taught essay writing. The difference is that people want to hear the stories, whereas I never heard of anyone who wanted to read the essays."

~ C.S. Lewis (taken from The Horse and His Boy, pg. 36)

P.S. You are making me want to re-read these books. I haven't in ages.

Oh and also: look into these lectures on Narnia: http://www.canonpress.org/shop/item.asp?itemid=855

I had the honor of attending them live and they were wonderful.

Hmm...That sounds so interesting!
That's one of the reasons I love reading the Chronicles of Narnia: I learn something new everytime! Whether it's about Christianity or developing a good story....
